My Project

Project Overview

My third grade students work hard every day to meet their individualized learning goals using Edmentum.

This project will provide healthy snacks as positive reinforcement to celebrate student growth, effort, and perseverance as they reach their academic goals.

My Students

My students are motivated third graders who are building confidence in reading and math skills. Many of them benefit from encouragement and positive reinforcement to stay engaged with challenging academic tasks. They take pride in meeting goals and enjoy celebrating their success together as a classroom community.

For some students, school snacks are not always guaranteed, making these small rewards especially meaningful and motivating.

The Need

Edmentum allows students to work at their own pace toward personalized academic goals. While the program is effective, students benefit greatly from tangible encouragement when they meet benchmarks or show significant growth.

Simple incentives like snacks help motivate students to stay focused, persevere through challenges, and feel proud of their accomplishments. Unfortunately, classroom funds for these incentives are limited.

The Solution

This project will provide individually packaged snacks that will be used to celebrate students when they reach their Edmentum learning goals. Snacks will be given during designated celebration times and will serve as positive reinforcement for effort, progress, and achievement.

These snacks are not just treats—they represent recognition for hard work, goal-setting, and academic growth.
