My Project

I love that my students come to school with different personalities, experiences, and strengths, and I want every student to feel welcome, supported, and ready to learn in my classroom. Our district serves a diverse student population, with about 36% of students identified as economically disadvantaged. For some students, having access to a simple snack during the school day can make a meaningful difference in their ability to stay focused and engaged.

Items such as Goldfish, Cheez-Its, and other individually portioned snacks will give students a quick source of energy when they are hungry or need a boost during the school day.

Having snacks available helps remove one small barrier to learning and allows students to stay focused on instruction, participate in activities, and make the most of their time in the classroom. My goal is to make sure my classroom is a place where students can come ready to learn and know that their needs are cared for.
