My Project

In our high school English classroom, students are asked to think critically, analyze complex texts, write thoughtfully, and participate in meaningful discussions each day. Simple, healthy snacks such as granola bars, fruit cups, crackers, and protein options will provide steady energy so students can focus during reading, writing workshops, and collaborative activities. When students are not distracted by hunger, they are more engaged, more confident in sharing their ideas, and better able to persist through challenging academic tasks.

My goal is to remove a basic barrier to learning and create a classroom where every student feels supported and cared for.

My students are resilient, hardworking, and full of insight. Many balance responsibilities beyond school, yet they show up ready to learn. Providing snacks is a small but powerful way to honor their effort and help them thrive academically.
