My Project

Being part of a Title 1 school means that a majority of your students are coming to school hungry. This also means that a majority of your students leave not knowing if they will get dinner that night or not. Hunger continues to be the number one barrier to learning for my students as it has the most impact on their abilities to focus and learn.

These food items will be readily available so that my students can come and discretely grab something to eat when they are hungry.

They will also be able to grab a snack to take home with them to ensure they always have something when their tummy starts to rumble. By making these items readily available it provides my students a judgment free setting to meet their basic needs.
