Alternative seating would provide different options for my students to sit in while they are learning in my room. By having alternative seating they can choose the seating option that is most comfortable for them. By being comfortable they are able to stay focused on the lesson. I also have many students who have sensory issues and by having alternative seating options we are able to meet their sensory needs. Having comfy, relaxing seats in the reading area of the room allows the students to comfortably enjoy a good novel. Many of them struggle with reading, and by creating a comfortable environment they are more apt to read.
