My Students
Our school is a Title I school that serves students in a low social economic background. My students are the best around, but they don't have much financially. They don't have access to proper supplies and it is my job to provide them with the very best! Our goal is to prepare our students for a successful school year along with preparing them to build on their 21st century skills. These students step foot in the building and need to have the best to BE their best.
My Project
I am requesting portable CD players, adapter charger, headphones and read-a-long books for my students. As educators reading and being exposed to new words is the foundation of a great education. My students come from homes that may not have any books or anyone to read with them daily.
My students will be able to listen to a story that is read to them nightly and will have the opportunity to read-a-long more than once if they prefer.
With the portable chargers parents/teachers will not have to worry about purchasing batteries EVER! Each night students will take home a packet/bag which includes the CD, book, charger and headphones and return it the following morning.
