This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Celebrating students' success in running club is essential for building confidence, motivation, and a sense of accomplishment. Recognizing their efforts—whether it's completing their first mile or reaching a new personal best—encourages perseverance and promotes a positive attitude toward fitness. A visual mileage tracker helps make progress tangible and keeps students excited to set and achieve new goals. Additionally, the use of a lanyard is both practical and meaningful: it holds their ID for quick access to QR codes used for tracking mileage, while also serving as a place to display earned charms. These charms act as mini-milestones, offering students a sense of pride and a visible reminder of their dedication and growth. At the end of each school year, students are able to take their lanyards and charms home with them to continue to celebrate their accomplishments!
