My Project
My students come to class eager to learn and engage with their peers. Their positive attitude is really impressive in light of their challenges over the past two years. This is their first year of full-time in-person learning since the 2018-2019 school year, and they are ready to take charge of their learning.
Our year isn't without challenges, even though we are learning in person.
A common problem my students face is hunger. Even with the free meals provided by the school, a lot of them end the day low on energy. This makes them reluctant to attend study hall and sometimes lethargic while they are there. Healthy snacks will help them power through.
Also, I want to give my students more time to go outdoors and learn because being stuck inside with masks doesn't feel great. Having speakers, I can project my voice and they can spread out. Recently, our classroom got iPads but we need the covers for the students to be able to use them and move around while doing so. The iPads covers will allow the students to work while being mobile. Having computer mice will help my students use the chromebooks they are assigned at beginning of the year with less impediment.
