My students come from a very diverse background. Some are from military families, constantly on the move every few years and trying to find some semblance of stability and make their way through a new situation. Some students come from low income housing and they are trying to be the first from their family to go to and graduate college. Others are just new to this country and trying to learn a new language and culture. Regardless we're like a family here always supportive of each other and pushing each other to be more. We see our diversity as a strength because that means we all have something different to contribute and we all have something we can learn from each other. My students all have different challenges but they're all striving for the same goals, an education and the bright future it affords.
