My Project
Many of my students are quick to leave home in the morning without breakfast. For some, bringing lunch to school is not an option. Many of my students often come to school hungry and for some who are scheduled for a later lunch, the hours on an empty stomach effects their energy level to learn and think. On the contrary, those who are scheduled for lunch at 10AM then often go hungry throughout the afternoon. While every school tries to provide students with nutritious lunches, it is utterly impossible to feed all kids at reasonable times. Throughout my career, I have learned that providing students with small snacks during the day helps keep their energy up, thus giving their body more fuel to learn and make good choices. Please help me fill their hungry bellies.
