I try to be as remote from them as I can, allowing this to be their time.\r\n\r\nI find the mahjong group especially interesting. Dark of the Moon was a smashing success and so much of our positive reviews were due to the incredible work our students put into making their costumes! \r\nOver the course of the rehearsal process for this show, students learned not only how to hand sew, but how to use a sewing machine. Obviously this is a great skill to have as we continue to shape well rounded theatrical artists here at Brooklyn High School of the Arts, but a wonderful skill to have as a person. Since the show has closed, I have had many students some to me to tell me that they fixed a button on their dads shirt, and even their own ripped pants after learning how to sew. \r\nStarting to build out our scene shop has been so incredibly rewarding and I am so excited for many more students to learn this invaluable skill in their theatre classes for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1733257286225,"projectUrl":"project/sewing-machines-needed-for-art-school-dr/8885440/","projectTitle":"Sewing Machines Needed for Art School Drama Department!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fausak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4003526_orig.jpg?crop=1431,1431,x1346,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1709069695863","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/fausak"},{"teacherId":4368132,"projectId":9045161,"letterContent":"What a difference this music makes in my classroom!
