My students are super creative and talented beings. They love new challenges and are eager to immerse themselves into a "learning through discovery" environment, an atmosphere that I strive to create and foster in the classroom. My students are passionate musicians who are learning to become story-tellers and artists through their love of music and arts. They come to class every day ready to make connections with themselves and others through affective learning goals. In my classroom community, the students are given platforms to be the agent of their own artistry. My job is to provide them with tools that help them make good musical choices and opportunities that allow them to explore and create. In class, we learn empathy towards others as well as ourselves and we are so grateful for any assistance we get along the way.
