This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
What I love most about my students is their resilience. They come from different yet similar backgrounds and everyday I see how hard it is for many of them to keep going. Some of my students are exceptional and some it takes them time to catch on but they never give up.
Each day I try to at least bring a smile to their faces.
I say good morning, I give hugs, and I even joke. When they're hungry sometimes I feed them my lunch or my snacks just to ensure their day isn't disturbed by one extra thing. Honestly, seeing them smile and happy is the best part of my day.
My Project
Indirectly I assume by my students receiving the social emotional support they need and snacks to carry them through the day they will go home on a positive note and at least try to continue the trend.
By having a good day at school sets the tone for night time activities /homework, completing missed assignments and getting prepared for the next day.
I believe a fresh fed full mind is beneficial to all students of all ages. Any support to assist my with be greatly appreciated and rewarding. Thank You !!
