Help me give my students snacks to keep their brains fueled up! No child can work when they are hungry. I need these snacks to help my students eliminate a need so my students can focus!
Energetic and eager are two descriptive words to describe the students that I teach. Students who are thirsty for knowledge and want to know how to make connections from what they learn in school to the world. My students take great pride in their school and the education they are recieving by working hard in and out of the classroom setting. My students come from a small town in rural Arkansas. The population of our town is smaller in size, but it acts as one large family when students are involved. I love my students and our community!
My Project
No student can work or focus if they are hungry. I work in an area in which students rely on the school for two solid meals a day. Our small school takes turns eating in the cafeteria. With the current scheduling, our 1st Grade students eat at 12:00.
They need a small snack, even it is just a few crackers or pretzels to hold them over.
I can't tell you how important it is especially in the first couple of months until they get use to the routine and their little bodies adjust. If they have growling stomachs it is hard to concentrate on any subject matter.
Snacks can add up quickly. I would love to provide snack for the first couple of months before I have to ask parents to help supply them. This would be an additional blessing to parents because they are paying for school supplies and clothing in the months of August and September. Please help me make this possible.
