I teach 1st grade. My students range from the ages of 6=8 depending on their birthday. Our school houses K-6th grade for the district. The students are eager to learn how to read and write. They are full of energy and express positive learning attitudes! I am a cheerleader for all of my students. Although, my students usually vary in academic ability, I work with each student independently on their needs in writing. I encourage and praise their strengths and help improve weaknesses. I am constantly surprised by how much they know that transfers from their reading and word study into their writing.
