We are 3rd grade superheros all suited up with laser focus vision, superior intellect, and the ability to transform. We are ready to fly through skills and strategies, but we need our powerful vehicle that will propel us to the next level of learning!
We are a low income, inner city neighborhood school.
The students do not have access to technology in their homes which limits their future potential. Many of the parents realize the limitations placed on their children, but wish for more opportunities that can push their children on towards higher education. The students are hungry for anything we, as teachers, can offer.
They thrive with structure and high expectations and strive to attain the expectations set before them. The students respond well to technology and learn it with ease. The more opportunities they are offered with technology in school will help them stay on course with their peers. Their minds are wide open to receive new information and skills that technology can provide.
My Project
We need a projector to bring their learning to life. We will use the projector daily to bring learning to life. It will be the vehicle for classroom instruction. We have the capabilities to connect a computer to access the Internet, on line books, videos, and aspects of their curriculum that are currently underutilized. With more practice, the students could also research information and write reports to share with their classmates with the projector.
This project will prepare my students for their futures.
It will open up a whole new world of information and possibilities to them. I will be able to guide them in their explorations and learning and hopefully create in them a hunger to continue broadening their horizons. By showing them what is available to them, I hope to spark interests they have never dreamed of yet. I want them to transform into the superheros I know they can be!
