Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students, lack access to hands-on STEM materials.This project seeks STEM materials to use in the library for projects inspired by fiction and nonfiction read-alouds and student research. With the STEM supplies students will transform questions and ideas sparked by stories and research into hands-on, three-dimensional creations. The texts they read act as mirrors, windows, and sliding glass doors—reflecting their own lives, introducing new perspectives, and inviting them to step into new ideas.

By combining literature, research, and hands-on STEM creation, this project removes barriers to learning and ensures all students can participate fully, strengthening problem-solving skills and helping them see themselves as capable creators and thinkers.

The library serves an inclusive space where students connect literature and inquiry to their lives and look forward to learning and creating.
