My Project

My kindergartners love nature and exploring! They get so excited to find bugs. The materials in this project will help provide my students with opportunities to learn more about plants, bugs and insects. They can learn about their characteristics, their life cycle, how and where they live, how they change, and how they help the earth. The bug-catching kit will cultivate my students' observation skills when they are using magnifying glasses and binoculars to observe small animals and plants in nature. The Real Bugs discovery kit will allow my students to learn about insects and arachnids as they observe and discover through the use of magnifying glasses and a microscope.

As a Kindergarten teacher, I love seeing the look of excitement and accomplishment on my students' faces when they learn something new and are eager to share it with me.

The hands-on activities and manipulatives will allow me to set up a science center for the classroom and provide my students with resources to make learning fun and engaging.
