Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Last year Jose Hernandez spoke at the Latinos in Action conference. He told his inspiring story of how he started his life as a migrant farm worker and worked hard to become an astronaut who worked aboard the International Space Station. He credits his father for teaching him the recipe for success.

I would like to purchase a classroom set of his books for my students to read as part of our school literacy initiative.

This book is directed at a middle school audience and contains the English and Spanish versions of the book. Thank you for your help inspiring my students and helping them to advance their reading skills.
