My Project

Pre-Kindergarteners come to school so full of energy and ready to learn! Learning about the life cycles of animals is fun and interesting, but there is nothing better than experiencing it for yourself. Incubating and hatching eggs in the classroom is one of the most amazing experiences you can provide your students. It’s a firsthand view of life and can be an experience your students will never forget.

Incubating and hatching eggs is a great way to teach students about animal life cycles and the needs of living things!

Our class will be so excited to use the MIKIROY Chicken Egg Incubator with an automatic egg turner, egg candler, and hydrometer so that we can study the life cycle of a chicken up close! While the chicks grow and prepare to hatch, we will learn what is happening inside the eggs. The students will be able to learn about the life cycle of the chicken and watch the chicken grow right before their very own eyes!

Hatch day will be a big celebration and the culmination of our project as students hold live chicks in their hands and learn to care for them over the next few days. Our excited students will enjoy taking care of our fluffy chicks as well as learn about a baby chick's basic needs such as food, water, and heat. Our class will enjoy feeding our new chicks Manna Pro Chick Starter, help fill up the two new waterers, and put Manna Shavings in the chick tub. Please help me to enable this hands-on, enriching experience for my little learners!
