My classroom is a busy and exciting place. On any given day, you might see students collaborating to design a Google presentation, building an elaborate block structure, or discussing the latest book we have read.
My students love playing, learning, and working together.
They collaborate in partnerships and small groups to complete projects and assignments that help them learn and grow.
Our school is in close proximity to several large universities and welcomes a diverse student body. It is the perfect place to build strong friendships and cultivate a love of learning.
My Project
Currently, our center materials are stored in a decades-old cubby that has been painted and repainted with green, gray, and blue paint. The paint is worn, shipped, and mismatched. In addition, the unit is heavy, difficult to move and filled with cracked bins.
A new mobile storage unit will brighten our classroom and make materials easy for students to organize and access.
During centers and choice time, students will be able to quickly find the math games, writing supplies, and reading materials they need so that they can maximize their learning time. We will even be able to wheel the unit around the room and clean underneath.
