Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I School. Title I means that almost 90% of our students are below the poverty line. They struggle with having classroom supplies, coats, food, and even a safe, warm home.
My students never let these challenges keep them down for long!
They come into my classroom every morning smiling and laughing! I've been teaching 17 years and it always makes my day when I see their bright faces. Thank you in advance for helping keep the smile on my students' faces!
My Project
This project is an extension to their book project. They created a wearable book project! These T-shirts will be remembered well as we use the shredded foam to fill these book reports and turn them into book report pillows! These fabulous 5th graders are excited to create a memorable keepsake from all of their hard work!
My students worked extremely hard on creating memorable T-shirt book projects!
Now, they will get to take their project that would normally be thrown into the trash into something they can keep forever! I'm so excited to see them come to completion and I know my students are!
