My Project

I love my school. I walk these halls every day and see students who are resilient, brilliant, and hardworking, despite the significant socioeconomic hurdles they face. As a Title I school, we take pride in being a safe place for our students—but currently, our hallways are bare and uninviting to our students.

Many of our students face "poverty of environment." They spend their days in a building with bare walls that don't reflect the liveliness they bring to our campus.

We want to change that. By adding high-quality wall decals, inspirational student-led galleries, and vibrant school-spirit decor, we are doing more than "decorating"; we are investing in our students' sense of belonging.

Research shows that environmental aesthetics directly impact student stress levels and academic performance. For a student dealing with the weight of low-SES struggles, walking into a school that feels bright, modern, and cared-for provides a sense of emotional safety. These decorations will serve as a daily reminder that our campus is a place of opportunity, dignity, and joy. Help us turn our hallways into a "hall of fame" for our students' potential.
