Frogs and Floor Drums!

Help me give my students their own individual floor drums and help them learn about different instruments that make sounds that mimic animals!

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

This project will benefit all of the students in Mrs. Bunn's music classes! These students are kind, safe and hard working! Our school is a Title I school with almost all students on free and reduced lunch. We serve a community that is made up of mostly active duty military families.

My Project

This project will help expand our floor drum instrument collection. Currently we do not have enough floor drums for each student to have their own during class. By adding two more to our collection we can limit how many drums have to be shared during class. The frog guiro is an interesting instrument to be added to our inventory. Lots of instruments can be used to mimic animal sounds. By having one in person, the students can learn and hear first hand! The students can also play this instrument on their own to make the frog sound.
