Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager middle school students who have a thirst for learning. They love being involved in their own educational journey. They attend school in a rural area located in one of the poorest parts of the county. We are a Title I school, where 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our students have limited resources. As the school counselor, I am very passionate about our students having their basic needs met. I would like to provide students with care packages for them to use after physical education each day.
My Project
These hygiene products and snacks are essential for many of my students as they go about their daily routine at school! We would be so grateful for the opportunity to provide them with products to take care of their hygiene needs and a choice of healthy and nutritious snacks. A clean and fed student is a happy student, which makes learning easier. As we enter the new normal, I would like for them to have hygiene products so that they can use them to freshen themselves up after physical education class.
