Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items in this request will help our students start the year off right. These school basics will build language with hands on learning. These will help to set our students up for success for the 2026-2027 school year. Cleaning wipes, tissues, paint, paper, and other craft materials are all items that every class needs and often gets overlooked for the special needs classroom.

My students are language and vocabulary deprived.

Using hands on materials allows us to make learning natural, meaningful and robust. We are working so hard to close their gaps and reach their potential. Some fun things we have planned are painting models of the solar system, building 3-D models of shapes and angles, and illustrating sentences to learn new vocabulary.

My student love being at school and get sad over long breaks. They are curious and expressive. Thank you for helping make sure our deaf and hard of hearing students have what they need to learn and grow their language in this new school year.
