This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As we come to the end of the 2024 school year, I am preparing for the new school year. This project contains items that my new students and newcomer students will benefit from; multicultural crayons, bilingual labels, identity-affirming books, new chair pockets, etc. These items will support all students' learning and growth. For the last five years,
my classroom has consisted of diverse and multilingual students that are from different countries and that speak different languages.
Each student enters my room with a different uniqueness, however, they all deserve to have the proper supplies to be successful in kindergarten.
