Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students keep me on my toes. They love to discuss our Reading and Language Arts topics. The 8th graders are excited to graduate, preparing statements to introduce themselves to the perspective high schools.Both groups are excited to be back in school and wanting to be better socially and academically.

The students are energetic, curious, and are destined to succeed.

Living in an area plagued by homelessness, drugs, and crime, they managed to stay focused on their dreams. Some lacking the basic necessities, they show up for school eager and willing to learn the 8th graders work with some of the 7th graders, sharing their knowledge.

My Project

As the girls are getting older personal hygiene is important. My students have reached the time where hygiene is vital and needs to be handled in a discrete manner.

The students I educate deserve a space to store their sanitary napkins discretely, which will aid in decreasing the embarrassment many girls have when simply asking for one.

This project will allow our scholars to address their hygiene needs in a discrete manner. Sometimes they have an unexpected visitor and this project will allow my students to be prepared for all the twists and turns of middle school hygiene.
