My Project

Kindergartners are introduced to many different kinds of school supplies during their first year in an official school setting. Crayons are one of the supplies that kindergartners use on a DAILY basis so they go through several boxes throughout the school year. Therefore, I would like to start my new kindergartners with their first set of Crayola crayons with a colorful pencil box to keep them safe.

Once the crayon tips get dull from overuse, students usually want to throw them out because they don’t color as well.

Therefore, I am also trying to get a crayon sharpener that will turn our old, dull crayons into new looking crayons with sharp points that students will use to the end.

In addition, I would like to provide my students with the Colors Around the Word crayons. By providing my students with the Colors of the World crayons, students will be able to showcase the different skin tones of people in our wonderful world. One of the first things we do in kindergarten to help foster their writing skills is completing a drawing book so that my students know how to draw pictures to match their writing stories. In our drawing unit, students learn how to draw people and use realistic colors when coloring. Therefore, having a plethora of colors is a necessity for learning how to create realistic stories. With your help, my students will have the necessary tools that they need to start their writing journey.
