My Project

My students are in need of trampolines and a storage shed to store all of our outdoor play activities. Young children need opportunities to move their bodies and at the end of the day, a safe place to store the trampolines. A storage shed will allow us to keep them safe and in good working condition. Currently, all of our outdoor exploration activities are stored outdoors and uncovered, causing them to get weathered, broken, and unusable. This has left my students with very few items to engage and play with while outdoors.

Trampolines provide a wide range of benefits including physical fitness, sensory development, social interaction, and improved mood and mental health, all while and providing an incentive for outdoor play.

Trampolines will allow my students to get fresh air, vitamin D from sunlight, and a break from sitting in a classroom. Jumping, bouncing, and performing various movements on a trampoline additionally help children develop gross motor skills, including jumping, hopping, and landing- all essential early childhood skills.
