My Students

I teach an amazing group of fourth graders in a rural town. My students love discussing things together and are eager to learn. I have previously taught in several big cities, but I love the perks of teaching in a small town. I get to see my students and their families in many other contexts outside of school. The teachers are committed to working together to see children grow and succeed, both in and out of the classroom.

My Project

I have the opportunity to teach a foreign language enrichment class at my elementary school. I would like materials and resources to help make learning French fun, practical and engaging for my young language learners. For most kids, this is the first exposure they've had to learning a foreign language.

While in high school, I was able to spend a year in France as an exchange student, so I know firsthand the impact that language learning had on my view of the world.

I want my students to broaden their understanding of other cultures through daily lessons on the French language.
