I teach an amazing group of 4th graders in the rural town of Tonasket, WA. My students love discussing things together and are eager to learn. I previously taught in several big cities, but I love the perks of teaching in a small town. I get to see my students and their families in many other contexts outside of school. Our school is a new "Leader in Me" school. The teachers are committed to working together to see children grow and succeed, both in and out of the classroom. We recently received a Washington State "School of Distinction Award" for student growth over the last 5 years.
