Help me give my students tampons and pads to allow girls who face period poverty to access these resources freely in the school restrooms.

My Project

Period poverty is the lack of access to education about menstruation or menstrual products. This is an issue that faces an alarming number of students in the United States. This is the third project we have posted this year, and we are already short of resources because girls are actually using them.

A study by Think and Period found that twenty-three percent of students experience period poverty.

Additionally, an overwhelming majority of students felt that period products should be available to them in their school bathrooms.

It is important to provide students with the privacy and products they need in order to succeed and be able to thrive in a school environment. We were helped by generous donors who believed in equity for all last school year, and now it is vital to receive your support to provide girls with pads and tampons for the first semester of 2022-2023. We still need help for the coming semester as our resources are running low.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
