This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Hi all! I need your help! I have one of the best classrooms in the school with my own private blacktop right outside where my class loves to have free time. It's partly sun, partly shade, and we even have a door from the classroom that leads out to it. My students are DESPERATE to have a basketball hoop out there, where they can hang out together, have fun, and just be kids. Many of my students live in unsafe neighborhoods with lots of gun violence, so this time with their peers provides not only excersise, but a safe place to hang out with friends. I would appreciate any help with this project as it will truly hype up my incoming 6th graders for the 2023/2024 school year!
