Frame-worthy kid art deserves, well, to be framed. Don't get me wrong, I love the refrigerator door as a universal gallery space of choice, but why not enjoy it on my classroom gallery wall first? Picture frames are great for a kid's art gallery for so many reasons, but pride, a sense of worthiness, and fun are the most important.
Highlighting and displaying artwork in classy picture frames provide a dedicated space to professionally showcase each piece of art by drawing attention to the artwork, making it special and valued.
But that's not all, frames protect the artwork from damage such as tearing, creasing, or accidental spills. This is especially important for children's art, which may be more fragile or susceptible to wear and tear. Also, framing gives children's art a more polished and professional look. It can make the art gallery feel more like a real exhibition, boosting the child's confidence in their creativity and efforts. Artwork that is framed is more likely to be preserved and cherished over time. It can become a lasting memento of a child's artistic journey and development. For sake of sanity preservation, framing helps in organizing the display of artwork, making it easier to arrange and rearrange pieces as new art is created. Overall, picture frames add a sense of importance and permanence to children's artwork, encouraging creativity and providing a sense of accomplishment when their creations are displayed in a thoughtful and respectful manner.
