My Students

My students love to learn math using hands-on activities and fun ways, innovative and very creative ways. Most can not afford supplies but are very creative and talented. They learn better when they can see, how concepts relate to one another in a tangible away.

They love to learn math using games, hands-on fun activities and technology.

We need your help to make this possible. Being able to touch, move and place manipulative and watch the connections hands-on will help them tremendously grasp the concepts.

My Project

My students struggle with fractions a lot. These hands on activities will help them connect the dots and enjoy doing math more. Fractions, decimals are basic concepts they need to grasp to get them ready for higher math. The students will play, match and move the resources around till they can see why each fraction matches each decimal and its percent. These fun resources are way better than the boring worksheet we normally use in class.

Being able to match the decimals to the equivalent fraction and or percent and seeing how they relate to one another will enhance their understanding tremendously.

I believe with these manipulative, they will be more comfortable with their fractions, decimals and percents and be ready to use them daily in finding quiz averages, parts, and be experts in overall number sense concepts.
