My Students
Working with both inclusive and pull out resource settings, the needs of the students vary on a wide range. My students, however, are some of the most dedicated and excited students to learn throughout the school. They know that they have some learning and social hurdles to overcome, but they always are up for the challenge and exhibit their strengths, while developing the areas that challenge them.
Our classroom is an inclusive environment in which all students are welcome to demonstrate and develop their strengths.
Each student is celebrated, both in my classroom and the school environment. Our school environment focuses on the inclusion of all students and the least restrictive environment to ensure the most effective and individualized education to promote the well-being of all of our students.
My Project
The content of our World History class provides a wide survey of the history of social, political and economic development of the world; however, it is very difficult for my students, with a variety of significant academic and social needs, to organize the material in a way that allows them to connect with the material on a personal or globalized way. By donating to this project, you will provide my students with direct access to appropriate current events published by Scholastic Magazines. The New York Times will allow them to organize and connect the material discussed in class to the world around them.
Not only will you provide my students with the opportunity to learn about the world around them, but you will also help foster an environment that helps each student develop into informed and active future leaders of the world.
By donating to this project, you will provide my students with the opportunity to develop crucial skills of synthesis, evaluation and analysis of current events.
