This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is full of inquisitive and intelligent third graders! Our class is made up of a diverse group of students who all bring their unique personalities and strengths to our classroom community. We are diverse in our backgrounds, cultures, languages, and life experiences, and the majority of our class speaks a language other than English at home.

The diversity that shines through our classroom creates a unique learning environment where we learn from each other every day.

My Project

My third graders are full of creativity and love having the chance to explore their creative side through hands-on games, art, and activities. This project will provide each student with their own copy "Give This Book a Title" by Jarrett Lerner.

This book is filled with all kinds of creative challenges and writing prompts that will keep their minds active and engaged, while also stimulating their imagination—a much-needed outlet after experiencing several challenging and unpredictable school years back-to-back.

Last year, I was fortunate enough to have a similar project funded and was able to give each student a copy of "Give This Book a Title: Over 100 Activities to Kick-Start Your Creativity" to keep, so I am planning ahead and hope to do the same this year! This book will also provide my students with a fun keepsake to remember their third grade experience.
