My Students
Our students are creative, persistent, and excited about learning. They come to school everyday, no matter the circumstances they face at home, ready and eager to learn. Many of our students come from low-income households and have limited access to resources in their neighborhoods.
At our school, we believe that all students deserve an equitable, high quality education in a culturally rich, diverse, resource-filled environment.
I teach and empower students to face any challenge, great or small, and to ensure that they know they have unlimited potential!
My Project
With these materials, I will be creating personal dig sites for students to use to explore fossils and paleontology in a hands-on, authentic way. These kits will include a toy fossil encased in a sandy/dirt/plaster mixture, a wooden mallet, a chisel, a brush, and a book for students to read as they excavate their own dinosaur fossil! This annual project has been an exciting activity students look forward to when the time comes in our Module.
It is my ultimate goal that all students have the materials they need to explore, investigate, and learn about the field of Paleontology and the study of fossils during this unit.
