This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My stage production students are still developing the skills to create props and other designs to be used on stage. This clay will help them enter the world of fake food making. Food prop art is a multi-million dollar enterprise and I want my students to be able to create fake prop foods that look realistic in hopes to pique their interest in maybe becoming professional prop artists. If at the very least, my students will be able to engage in this fun unit by designing and creating something aiming to look real.
