Our students are eager and ready to learn through hands-on activities.
They are dedicated to their studies and state expectations. We are a rural, Title I Distinguished Elementary School in South Georgia. I teach science to all eighty fourth graders in this elementary school.
My Project
By receiving the K'Nex Forces, Energy, and Motion Set and K'Nex Introduction to Levers and Pulleys Set, my students can experience science in their hands. The K'Nex Forces, Energy, and Motion Set will allow my students to experiment with various gravities and friction. With the Introduction to Levers and Pulleys set, students can build their very own simple machines to understand how they work.
Due to the diverse backgrounds of my students, they will only experience these hands-on experiments in the classroom. Children are always excited to experience forces, energy, motion, and simple machines. Imagine the engagement if they could experience it in their hands! I truly feel this will allow the fourth graders to learn with excitement instead of just a text book picture.
