This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from various backgrounds, about 80% of my students are English Language Learners. The majority from low income households. One third of the classroom is composed by diverse learners.

My 3rd grade class is a group of eager learners that learn best from experiences.

I want to create a space where they can feel at home, have access to discovery and feel the freedom to explore.

Our school has a great dual language program in which the students get to learn two languages at a high academic level.

My Project

This year my 3rd graders will be reading, learning new vocabulary, and understanding principles of physical science; therefore I'm looking for creative ways to teach Force and Motion to them which is an important unit of study in 3rd grade.

Your donation to this project will help my students build simple machines by themselves or in small groups using BricQ Legos.

This will awaken their curiosity and creativity as they learn about Force and Motion. BricQ legos will give them a chance to be away from technology and put into practice what they have learned in theory as they build their own simple machines.
