Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an energetic bunch that have such a strong desire to learn. They are coming from a developing area where school boundaries have frequently changed. For many of my students, this is their 2nd or 3rd school they have attended.

The students are anxious to be involved in their community and are learning at every moment in the day.

They understand that they are the future and are eager to do their part in the world. I am so proud of all their hard work and willingness to be good citizens!

My Project

I have been adding to my classroom library each year for the past 4 years since I have started teaching. I love searching through used book sales to find books that my students will love; however, there are some newer titles that I just can't find at second hand stores and yard sales.

My students will love these popular titles and will enjoy reading them as a part of their 40 book challenge.

There is a variety of fiction and non fiction books that will appeal to all different interests and reading levels. These books will give my classroom library a nice facelift.
