My Students
Our elementary school is nestled in a beautiful bustling suburb of North Carolina just over the South Carolina border. Our preschool to 5th grade school is a true family that has the absolute best students! These students love learning, reading, and trying new things. They are extremely imaginative and innovative learners. The teachers work hard to provide literacy-rich​ classrooms, as well as a challenging and modern curriculum. You can feel the learning the moment you walk into our school.
My Project
Third grade students need to experience a literacy rich environment in their classroom. I am looking to provide several mentor texts that will enhance our literacy program. I have chosen a variety of texts that have strong characters, as well as many different cultures represented so that students may see themselves in these texts.
A love of reading is the most important thing we can give a child. In my classroom, I strive to provide the best texts to engage and excite my students about reading. Please help me in providing these materials to make my classroom the best reading environment possible!
