My Students

The students in our K-4 elementary building are full of imagination. Many of the students from our Title 1, 100% free and reduced priced breakfast and lunch school, lack the opportunity to choose brand new, high interest books. Although our classroom libraries are full of books for students to borrow, the students do not get to call these books their own. When presented with the opportunity, they love choosing their very own books from book orders or book fairs.

My Project

Many students lack the opportunity to choose a brand new book! I want to provide the entire school with the option of selecting a book that appeals to the diverse student body that we teach.

Books are powerful learning tools that can take learners on adventures near and far.

Due to COVID, so many things have been taken away from the students. By providing brand-new, high-quality books will lift the spirits of the students who really need it most.

These books can be used while at school for classroom reading time, and at home for personal enjoyment!
