My Project

I have the privilege of working with a lot of students both during day school at Highland Community School and in after school settings at a few Milwaukee Nonprofits (Neu-Life & PEAK) that provide young people ages 5 to 18 with positive and engaging after school activities. Throughout my time working in both day school and after school, I have had so much success with teaching young people how to take care of themselves through nutrition. My hope is to expand the offerings I am able to give my students by creating a no cooking, cooking class and having all the materials so they can make nutritious foods without the use of heat for themselves and those they love.

Making food for self and others is educational, engaging, empowering, and just lovely.

These materials will be used in my day school job along with my after school programs including a new family cooking class I am trying out for the first time ever.
