Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Food, glorious food! My students need to know a variety of healthy foods and explain why they are important and necessary for their good health. With the food pyramid mat posters, and life like foods, my students will have a better understanding of what is a nutritious meal.

My students are happy, enthusiastic learners who will thrive from the use of hands-on materials.

With these hands-on materials they will be learning about the different food groups and how they are beneficial to their health. Because my students have misconceptions about food items that may or may not be healthy, it is important that they understand the value of nutritious foods.

My Project

Your generous donations will provide my students with learning opportunities. My students will be extremely excited and motivated to learn about healthy foods just because they enjoy any type of hands-on materials that they can manipulative by touching and actually seeing the item. My students will be able to internalize what choices they need to make to be healthy.

Through the use of these wonderful books and life like materials, my students will be able to make better choices when deciding what foods to eat.

The books and play foods are items that focus on specific food groups which in turn will help my students to identify them. The food pyramid is also a great tool for my students to manipulate by classifying the different items from each food group. All of these materials will help my students live a healthy, happy life!
