Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing scholars and young people that really want to make a difference in the world. The snacks and food are for students to be able to make it through the school day without getting hungry and also provide for those students that need food beyond the food provided by school.

Having consistent access to food is essential to a student feeling safe and ready to learn.

These quick pick-me-ups can make the difference for students' ability to be succeed. The granola bars, chips, and other goodies will go to feeding students and making sure we support the whole student with daily essentials.

Snacks are a wonderful treat we use at our school for a number of different events. They're awesome for rewarding students and also during small little community moments, like a movie night. My co-teacher and I also poach some snacks for after-school math club. Post-it Sticky Pads and erasers will also come in handy for our math club and classes. Other teachers will use our treasure trove and supplies from time to time as well!
