My Students

My ELA grade 7/8 students are the best in the world! Every day they have to deal with all that comes with being Autistic. They are brave and excited about life and the opportunities it has to offer them. They love to learn and want to succeed.

My students thrive in an environment where they feel safe and have a routine.

My goal is to continue to make my students feel safe, secure, and well educated.

My Project

The items that are requested in this project are just every day things that make the class a more comfortable place for my students. They are required to read every day but don't necessarily have books at home. I want them to know that when they come to class there will be something that they can read. Every day I have students who come to class hungry. When you are hungry that is all that you can think about. I have asked for some snacks in my project so that I can help my students stay focused on content rather than hunger.
