Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We love our school garden. Last week we had salads at lunch and all the lettuce came from our school garden and grown by the students. But enough is enough.

Cabbage Moths are destroying our cabbages this year and its a constant effort to keep killing the caterpillars.

The insect netting will help prevent getting the caterpillars on them.

The cucumbers get bug eaten with the cucumbers lying on the ground. The cucumber trellis will help keep the cucumbers up out of the muck and provide a healthier harvest.

Many of our hand spades we bought when we first got started and they were cheap and bend easily, some have broken. Its hard to have a garden without good tools.

And Bird Feed is a consumable and must be replenished.
